Above the Clouds

Hi! I'm Rachel!

Pronouns: She/Her

As a therapist, my goal is to walk the path beside you on your journey. Healing from our trauma, addiction, or grief can be a treacherous journey, but not one we have to face alone. By using skills in CBT and DBT we can work together on ways to make your journey a little bit easier

Why I'm a Social Worker

I never planned to be a therapist, wild isn't it? I knew I wanted to help people, but in what capacity was a mystery to me all throughout my bachelor's degree. My journey as a therapist began by working in child-welfare where I helped family's reunite and bring new families together. I worked primarily with teens and my goal was always to listen and provide them with a space to grow. I learned that, sometimes, all we need is to feel that someone is in our corner. Following obtaining my master's, I began to work with individuals who struggle with addiction. During this time I learned that I aspire to provide a person-centered approach that elevates your strengths and allows you to direct our sessions toward YOUR personally identified needs, and goals. There is no "one size fits all" when it comes to therapy.

I want to know about you and how you think we can work together to reach the goals you have. It would be an honor for you to allow me to walk the path with you and establish a solid foundation that can help you face the ups and downs of life.
